Statistics is a subject that Statistics is a branch of mathematics dealing with the collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and organization of data. In applying statistics to, e.g., a scientific, industrial, or social problem, it is conventional to begin with a statistical population or a statistical model process to be studied. physical education is important because it helps students stay physically active, develop interests in different types of physical activity, build teamwork and other social skills, and improve focus and academic performance. Physical education programs are increasingly being cut back in schools, which proponents argue is detrimental to students.



physical education also helps students to become healthy and to improve the children physical skills both in and out of school and it can actually help improve academic performance. Even moderate physical activity can improve both attention and brain function, helping kids concentrate better in class and perform better on exams, Physical activities are necessary for human growth and development.As such physical education has been a part of human being so it is necessary for the students to have a physical education.

So, if you are planning to take your senior high school at Davao Central College you will experience more interaction or using computers like we've done this school year.

Sir Ace will give a very challenging task that will help you to build new knowledge on the different uses of computers. For me, this is my subject because it involve technologies and I love learning it. You will experience storing files in your Gmail account so that you can pass it easily. You will learn too the different kind of viruses, spyware, trojan, adware and many more threats when you are in presents of using internet connection. You will learn how to stay protect in surfing on the internet.

The most challenging part of learning this subject is making a blog. Sir Ace will give you a challenging task and that making your own blog, you will make your own logo and promote every subject that you encountered in your high school. Promoting your strand is very hard because you will think great words to motivate the grade 10 students.

Values Education in Davao Central College

Values is a very important factor for all the humanity in earth, having Values in life gives us peace in mind and away from bad habits, knowing good values give a person a good point of view about what is happening in his life or others, this values is being teach on our school, this values is one of the most important subject our school give to us, because of values we have known lots of things that really help us to pursue our dream.

By tackling up the Values Education subject we have learn a lot of things for example is the way our personalities reflect us, how it affects our behavioral aspects in school, well for values it helps us know more about ourselves and help us conquer our fears that may block our future a head.

I one of the student from Davao Central college really like to listen when in terms of values i think that it is important because more likely i see lots of people who don't really give a considerate care about values and that makes them unlikely to fail the future, i have learn a lot of things about this subject and so do you, by enrolling DCC and having to feel our Values Subject you can be the most respectful person in the world.

21st Century Literature provides you with the opportunity to develop a critical understanding of current developments in the literature by sampling a diverse variety of postmillennial texts. You will have the opportunity to develop a thorough knowledge of literary genres and advance your research, communication and writing skills.







21st Century seems to be a subject that both befuddles and captivates students. There are usually no "right" or "best" answers. but at the same time, some students credit it for inspiring the and opening up their minds to new worlds and perspectives, 21st Century Literature is so important because reading is one of the most important intellectual activities we as humans can ever engage, reading also is a process of comprehension and understanding and it applies to every aspect of life where we must decode something in order to lead our individual existences.








We discuss a lot of topic in our subject like figures of speech, this is my favorite topic because you will encounter many types of sentences and phrases that have many meanings.
Alliteration
The repetition of an initial consonant sound.

Anaphora
The repetition of the same word or phrase at the beginning of successive clauses or verses. (Contrast with epiphora and epistrophe.)
Antithesis
The juxtaposition of contrasting ideas in balanced phrases.
Apostrophe
Breaking off discourse to address some absent person or thing, some abstract quality, an inanimate object, or a nonexistent character.
Assonance
Identity or similarity in sound between internal vowels in neighboring words.
Chiasmus
A verbal pattern in which the second half of an expression is balanced against the first but with the parts reversed.
Euphemism
The substitution of an inoffensive term for one considered offensively explicit.
Hyperbole
An extravagant statement; the use of exaggerated terms for the purpose of emphasis or heightened effect.
Irony
The use of words to convey the opposite of their literal meaning. Also, a statement or situation where the meaning is contradicted by the appearance or presentation of the idea.
Litotes
A figure of speech consisting of an understatement in which an affirmative is expressed by negating its opposite.
Metaphor
An implied comparison between two unlike things that actually have something important in common.
Metonymy
A figure of speech in which one word or phrase is substituted for another with which it's closely associated; also, the rhetorical strategy of describing something indirectly by referring to things around it.

Onomatopoeia
The use of words that imitate the sounds associated with the objects or actions they refer to.
Oxymoron
A figure of speech in which incongruous or contradictory terms appear side by side.
Paradox
A statement that appears to contradict itself.
PersonificationA figure of speech in which an inanimate object or abstraction is endowed with human qualities or abilities.
Pun
A play on words, sometimes on different senses of the same word and sometimes on the similar sense or sound of different words.
Simile
A stated comparison (usually formed with "like" or "as") between two fundamentally dissimilar things that have certain qualities in common.
Synecdoche
A figure of speech in which a part is used to represent the whole (for example, ABCs for alphabet) or the whole for a part ("England won the World Cup in 1966").
Understatement
A figure of speech in which a writer or speaker deliberately makes a situation seem less important or serious than it is.

Reflections

Basic Calculus

         Basic Calculus, " that's so hard","urgh math again "what? what's that again"? these are only some common phrases students say when they hear the word basic calculus. From the past months we had encountered and journeyed through Basic Calculus, we learned a lot of things. in this subject, we had the reporting which you should be prepared of and should study well.  Another is that, we've learned about different topics with really difficult formulas and solutions but, as we are a positive and hardworking students, we were able to get pass through it.we did not only learned about math, but we also learned how to appreciate each other as we report for we know the struggles and how hard it is to understand the assigned topic on your own. in addition. basic calculus is not only about numbers but also about reflecting on our attitudes towards the others.


Reading and Writing Skill

       RWS stands for Reading and Writing Skills. In this subject, we learned how to understand, analyze and interpret stories. We had the book review of the story "Little Prince" which is we could say a very beautiful and meaningful story. It was about a prince and a pilot and a fox.

in this subject too, we experienced how to critique story. Also, we learned that in every claim there is always a counterclaim.Claim of Policy, claim of Fact and claim of Value.
The claim of Policy is the claim that it should be implemented, a claim of Fact is the claim that it is true and has evidence or proofs while a claim of Value is the claim that talks about the importance of the subject.
Different pattern organizers are also part of the RWS subject. There are many types of Time pattern organizers, classification pattern organizers, cause-and-effect, comparisons and contrast.
We also learned the difference between a text and a discourse. The text is the group of ideas joined together and written while discourse is a matter of utterance or ideas that are imparted verbally or through speaking.
Not only individual tasks, but we are also taught by groupings. O the latter part, we are taught on how to right a college application letter which would be very useful for future purposes.
For our last performance task, we are required to have a job interview with our college application letter, cover letter, memorandum, and resume.
In this we learned how to face and interact with different people especially when we are talking to the executives, there should be respect and manners. We are taught how to be prepared and confident in our own way.

READING AND WRITING EXPERIENCE
                 (LITTLE PRINCE)

The Book entitled little prince is a Story we tackled in our subject RWS or Reading Writing Skills, Written by The Little Prince is a play based on the book of the same name by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.  It talks about a story of a Little prince and a Pilot, how they meet each other on the desert and how they have been tackling their own thoughts and problems, this story has lots of meaningful plots and good things you can learn about the minds of Adults vs the minds of younger kids, upon reading the book you can learn a lot of things it can also help you understand more about how to make attachment from someone just by this reading this book.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is both a pioneer of aviation and a well-known French writer. He was born in Lyon, France, in 1900. At an early age, he dreamed of a life of adventure and wanted to become a naval officer. Unfortunately, he failed the exam to qualify him for naval officer training school. As a result, he turned his attention to the field of aviation. Even though flying was dangerous and risky in Saint-Exupéry’s time, he joined the military and trained to be a pilot. After his military service, he presented himself to the director of an airline company and expressed his desire to become a commercial pilot. The director told him he must first become an airplane mechanic. Finally, in 1927, after serving as a mechanic, Saint-Exupéry became a pilot, opening up new air routes over the Mediterranean Sea, North Africa, and the Sahara Desert. Because of the danger of flying, he had a number of accidents, but he escaped any major injuries. Later Saint-Exupéry became the director of his own aviation company in South America, where he often flew dangerous routes over the Andes Mountains.

What type of characters are present in the Story

The Little Prince -  One of the two protagonists of the story. After leaving his home planet and his beloved rose, the prince journeys around the universe, ending up on Earth.

The Pilot  -  A lonely pilot who, while stranded in the desert, befriends the little prince. They spend eight days together in the desert before the little prince returns to his home planet. 

The Rose  -  A coquettish flower who has trouble expressing her love for the little prince and consequently drives him away. Simultaneously vain and naïve, she informs the little prince of her love for him too late to persuade him to stay home and not to travel. 

The Fox  -  Although the fox asks the little prince to tame him, the fox is in some ways the more knowledgeable of the two characters, and he helps steer the prince toward what is important in life. a good friend of the little prince and my most like character on this story who teach the little prince a very important thing in the world which is to love and how can you make it real.

The Snake  -  The first character the prince meets on Earth, who ultimately sends the prince back to the heavens by biting him. A constant enigma, the snake speaks in riddles and evokes the snake of the Bible, which incites Adam and Eve’s eviction from Eden by luring them into eating the forbidden fruit.

The King -  On the first planet the little prince visits, he encounters a king who claims to rule the entire universe. While not unkindly, the king’s power is empty. He is able to command people to do only what they already would do.

The Vain Man  -  The sole resident of the second planet the little prince visits. The vain man is lonely and craves admiration from all who pass by. However, only by being alone is he assured of being the richest and best-looking man on his planet.

The Drunkard -  The third person the little prince encounters after leaving home is a drunkard, who spends his days and nights lost in a stupor. The drunkard is a sad figure, but he is also foolish because he drinks to forget that he is ashamed of drinking.

The Businessman -  A caricature of grown-ups who is the fourth person the little prince visits. Too busy even to greet his visitor, the businessman owns all the stars. Yet he cannot remember what they are called and contributes nothing to them. 

The Lamplighter  -  The fifth and most complex figure the prince encounters before landing on Earth. At first, the lamplighter appears to be yet another ridiculous character with no real purpose, but his selfless devotion to his orders earns him the little prince’s admiration. Of all the adults the little prince encounters before reaching Earth, the lamplighter is the only one the prince thinks he could befriend.

The Geographe -  r The sixth and final character the little prince encounters before he lands on Earth. Although the geographer is apparently well-read, he refuses to learn about his own planet, saying it is a job for explorers. 

The Railway Switchman  -  The railway switchman works at the hub for the enormous trains that rush back and forth carrying dissatisfied adults from one place to the other. He has more perspective on life than the unhappy, thoughtless passengers his trains ferry. He agrees with the prince that the children are the only ones who appreciate and enjoy the beauty of the train rides.

The Salesclerk  -  The salesclerk sells pills that quench thirst on the grounds that people can save up to fifty-three minutes a day if they don’t have to stop to drink. He symbolizes the modern world’s misplaced emphasis on saving time and taking shortcuts.
